Mayor Harry Winthrop said that he and City Manager Joseph Nicholson, earlier this year, had been in discussions with representatives of the Annapolis-based Hall of Fame about the possibility of relocating to the Newport Armory building on Thames Street. Wednesday’s workshop, a question-and-answer session with Gary Jobson, renowned sailor and president of the National Sailing Hall of Fame, was well attended by members of Newport’s sailing community and members of the public.
